  8. Babara Hinske’s Rosemont series is a pleasure to visit, I could move there myself. The compassionate people, who step in to help out their friends and neighbors is so refreshing. Sharing normal life bumpy roads through daily living. There are villains in every good story, and this talented author has covered all the bases. Great series !

  9. I have thoroughly enjoyed reading the first four books in the Rosemont Series and will be anxious for the fifth book to be available. Excellent series.

  23. Finished Bringing Them Home and loved it. Certainly hope it’s not the end of the series. Is it? It did seem to come to a place where Ms Hinske could have ended it.

    1. Hi Ceil. I’ll write another in the Rosemont series — I love the characters too much to want to quit! Thank you for asking. I’m taking a wee break at the moment to write a murder mystery (suspense, not gore). I hope you’ll like it.

  27. Loved everyone of these books. Could not put them down! Can’t wait for the next one. Any idea when? What’s the name of the murder mystery book?

    1. Thank you! The next Rosemont book will probably be in 2019. I don’t have a title for the murder mystery yet, but will finish the first draft next week. I’m taking a week’s vacation to write and I can’t wait! So stay tuned.

  28. Loved every one of these books. Couldn’t put them down! Can’t wait for the next one. Any idea when it will be available? What’s the name of the murder mystery book?

  29. Read all 4 books. I enjoyed this series so much. It has to be a movie or TV story like WCTH Can’t wait to read other books you wrote.

    1. Thank you! The 5th book in the Rosemont series — Bringing Them Home — is out and my novella, The Christmas Club, is being considered by the Hallmark Channel. Fingers crossed!

  30. The town in the Rosemont series sounds a lot like our small country community. When there’s a fund raiser for sick people or even to raise money for a diabetic boy’s purchase of a service
dog, everyone turns up to help, play music, whatever, it all turns into a good time. And when the food plates run out, people donate anyway, God bless them!

  31. Loved all these 5 books. Can’t wait for the next one!! I felt like I was a visitor in Rosemont. Love all your books but this series O hope will continue!

  32. Absolutely love the Rosemont series. Read them all. Just finished Bringing Them Home. Wonderful series. I would love more but this ended it nicely if there are no more. Thank you so much for letting me live at Rosemont for a little while

    1. Thank you, Marsha! Delighted you enjoyed the series. I’m working on a murder mystery now but (due to popular demand–yeah!!!) I’ll write another Rosemont. I’d love to go back to Rosemont, too.

  33. I finally finished the series and can’t wait for more. I feel like the characters are my friends.

  34. Started the series on Tuesday; it’s now Wednesday morning and am ready to start book 4, Drawing Close. I love all the characters, well, not Frank & the Delgado brothers! And I love all the dogs & cats! So happy to know that these books will continue on after book 5. Thanks for this enjoyable series!

  35. I truly. Enjoyed get to k n ow all the characters in the books and have come to love them. The worst part of any great book is saying good bye to the characters. This book leaves me crying and wanting more from them.

  36. I just completed all five books of the Rosemont Series and enjoyed every single one. I hope more will be written as this is a story that can go on and on. 🙂

  37. Loved the Rosemont books so much, would love to live in a house like Rosemont. You really bring the characters to life Barbara.Hopefully there will be another book.i need to know whether Susan has a boy or girl,

    1. Thank you, Bobby. And there is a book 6 — I’m writing it right now for publication by the end of summer, 2019. And you will learn if it’s a boy or girl!! PS — I’d love to live in Rosemont, too!

    another. Barbara

  40. I’ve read the first book only. I liked the characters and the dialog was believable. I’m into it enough that I’m on to book 2 now.

  41. You real as if you know all the characters personally and could actually be living in Westbury. Looking forward to the next book in the series.

  42. Another great book in the series. I could not put the book down and look forward to the next book. Alot of nice surprises and mystery and what an ending that has us hanging!!!

  43. Feel like I’m behind. I just read the first book in 3 days. Great COVID quarantine read. Looking forward to starting #2 of the Rosemont series.

  44. Each book is better than the last! But it ended too soon. Does the professor have a secret concerning Sunday? When is the next book coming out?

  45. Barbara: I’m loving all the books iin the Rosemont Series! In reading comments (above) it looks like the next two books i this series are “Keeping Close” and “Restoring What Was Lost.” I. have not been able to find either book. Then I read that “Guiding Emily” is the next book in this series. I’m confused! Please help!

    1. Hi Pat,
Sorry for the confusion! Book 7 is titled Restoring What Was Lost and will be out in late October, 2020. Guiding Emily is the first in a new series and is unrelated to my Rosemont Series. I’m delighted that you’ve enjoyed my books!
      Barb

  46. Just finished restoring what was lost and once again loved the book!! Already wanting the next book so I can find out what happens next in all their lives!

  47. This is another winner! I hope Book 8 is in the works. This series just makes me feel part of the Rosemont community.love the character additions to each book. Will David’s guide dog school somehow tie in with the Guiding Emily series?

    1. Thank you! I’m delighted you enjoyed it. I hadn’t thought about a tie-in between the series as I was writing it, but it’s been on my mind ever since. I think that would be nice! Great minds!!
      Warmly,
      Barb

  48. I have enjoyed every book in this series. Always waiting for the next release! Love that you never know what to expect next. Will now patiently for the next release. Thank you for writing this amazing series.

  49. I wouldn’t mind a book 8 and maybe 9 to see Sunday and Josh get married, to find out more about what’s in Maggie’s attic, etc. I guess we’ll have to use our imagination.

  50. Best contemporary series I’ve read in a few years. Loved the realistic characterizations, dialogues, descriptions and plot twists. I would love to see inside a writer’s head to learn how this is all done!

  51. I just finished book #7 of the Rosemont series and again I loved it so much. I saw that you will be writing book #8 in 2021. In the meantime I will read your mystery book. Thank you again for many hours during the pandemic for giving me something to look forward to.

  54. So glad that there will be Mother book have to know about the babies and how David and Grace get togethet. Feel like I know this town I want to be Maggie Nd whY else does she have in the upstairs.

      Warmly,
      Barb

  56. I am also a huge fan of all things Rosemont! I laugh and cry even when I know what is coming, I love the house and the town and the wonderful cast of characters. I relive my wedding day with each Rosemont wedding and was especially touched by the addition of the “birth parent” story component you added. I am a birth mother and found myself sobbing often throughout this chapter of the Rosemont Chronicles. Thank you for enriching my life with your talented writing and I hope there are many more tales to come!

    1. What a lovely comment to leave for me. I’m all choked up! I’m thrilled that you’ve enjoyed my beloved town/home/characters. The birth parent story is based on a true story!!!
You’ve made my day. Thank you!

  57. I’m glad there is a Rosemont book 8 in the works. It and Westbury are lovely places that feel quiet and serene (despite mysteries and other complicating events) after living all day in our world of worries and pandemics, and especially after listening to the evening news. I’m also happy there will be a book 2 about Emily. It was the first Hinskie book I read, and I found it fascinating as Emily struggled to regain so many other things after the accident which resulted in her loss of sight. I will look forward t o both.

  58. Read all seven Rosemont series in 21 days, great reading during these troubling pandemic times. So Happy to see that there will be more. you kept me on the edge of my seat as mysteries unfolded, also with happy tears in my eyes as the love stories of Frank and Loretta and Lyla and Robert unfolded. Thank you for sharing your talent with the literary world.

    1. Thank you so much for your kind words! You’ve made my day!! I’m delighted you’ve enjoyed the series. A Rosemont Christmas novella (No Matter How Far) is available as part of an anthology title A Keepsake Christmas. I loved writing it and hope you might enjoy it, too! Available here on Amazon and other retailers.

  59. I loved this series. Read it twice .Please tell me that there is a book8 and beyond .We need to know about David and his school and the new twins.. Thank you for a great series. CAN’T I tell you enough how I loved them. Can’t remember doing a comment before. When was that?

  60. Omygosh, loved t loved this series so much, read them all TWICE! Years apart. Characters are so capitaviding. Wish I could live there and know them all.. Examples of how to live life. Sorry to see it end. Wonderful writer. Love her heart for people and her empathy and understanding of the human condition.

    1. What a lovely comment! I’m delighted you enjoy the series. I find it very comforting to write these characters and spend time (in my mind) with the people in Westbury!

  61. Best series I have ever read! The characters are so vivid, feeling I actually knew them. Would love another book to see how the twins and their parents are coming along. Thank you for sharing your talents Barbara.

    1. Thank you, Helene. I’m delighted you enjoyed it. Funny you should mention it–I’m working on the next book today. Those twins are about to be born!

  62. I really enjoyed reading all 5 books in this series. Maggie is quite the hero character and the small town atmosphere described is uplifting. With all the divisiveness of our current political atmosphere in the US, it’s nice to relax and enjoy a fictional scenario where life is sweeter!

    1. Thank you, Debbra!! And the Rosemont series now has 9 books, if you’d like to continue on with Maggie and the gang.Westbury is a nice place to escape to!

  63. The Rosemont series from beginning to the latest is such an excellent series. The last two were so informative on Seeing Eye Dogs and where it all begins. Learned so much from these two stories. How they are matched up and the training they go through. I even saw a group here fund raising for PTSD. Help for everyone. Thank you for all these wonderful stories.

  64. So enjoy the Rosement series!!! Was thrilled to find this newest book. You do a great job in continuing the storyline, without too much emphasis on the past ,rehashing too much. Love the characters and how you continue to develop them. Look forward to the next book!!

  65. I think I’ve read every book! They are so good, I don’t think I’ll ever find anything else! I’ve felt spoiled by your stories with the great characters and pets! Please continue writing!

  66. Just finished reading your first Rosemont book, can’t wait to read the next one! Wonderful storytelling, couldn’t put it down. Love it.
