The Cover of Shelving Doubts
Greetings! Has another month has flown by? I spent May slaving away on Book 6 in the Rosemont series: Shelving Doubts. You are the first to see the cover. I am thrilled with it and love the two new characters pictured: Dan (the black lab) and Cooper (the golden). What sweet boys they are. I have a question for you, if you have a moment to respond: From looking at the cover, what is the setting (not geographically, but what type of building? Church/Office/Government/College?)
I had a bit of a hiccup on the title. I originally thought I’d call it Keeping Close and was busy working with the cover designer when I realized that it was too similar to the title of the fourth book, Drawing Close. I did a big forehead slap with the palm of my hand. What in the world was I thinking?
My esteemed developmental editor Linden Gross suggested I write a few more scenes, so I locked myself in my writer’s cave over the long weekend and bashed them out. Two more rounds of read-it-aloud edits await before I will call it done. It’s close. I’m now thinking it will be out this fall.
